Our universities have their own health centers. Students can easily perform basic health checks and medical exams. For detailed information about the health center of your university, you can apply to the relevant departments of the university.

pharmacies in Turkey are open until at 19.00 except on Sundays . A certain number of pharmacies are available in each city after 19:00 and on Sundays, . Emergency service units provide 24/7 service for emergencies of hospitals and university health centers.

Health Insurances

International students are required to have health insurance during their official residence period. We have two options. You can go to a private health insurance company and take advantage of policies for foreigners. Remember that these policies are limited in scope and only valid in hospitals where the insurance company is contracted!

Another option is General Health Insurance (GSS). These types of insurances, managed by the Social Security Institution, will give the right to receive free treatment in all public hospitals. In this way, you can get your prescription medicines for a very low fee. This insurance registration is a bit longer and registration should be done fast.
