Founding and location:
Istanbul Bilgi University was established in 1996 in Istanbul, specifically in the famous Abobe region on the European side, and it also has another campus in the Beyoglu region on the Asian side. Istanbul Bilgi University is considered one of the best private universities in Turkey, and the university aims to become one of the top 500 universities in the world. Istanbul Bilgi University has taken “Learning for life, not for study” as its slogan and is the only university to have a membership in the “Laureate International Universities” network since 2006.
Bilgi University has grown to have 4 campuses with an area of 206,000 square meters, and by 2017, the number of graduates reached more than 30,000 students. Bilgi University offers 150 study programs in 7 faculties, 4 schools, 3 vocational schools and 5 institutes, and it adopts English as the first language of study along with Turkish
